Welcome to my website! My name is Elizabeth Porter, and this site is all about my work and my life! I am a senior at NC State double majoring in Communication Media and English Rhetoric and Professional Writing. I love to write and create content, so I have participated in a few different internships that allow me to exercise my passion! I also love to spend time with my family and practice some of my hobbies. Check out everything below to learn a little bit more about me!
I have worked a few internships during my time in college to get some experience before taking on a full-time career after graduation. My experience is mostly in communications and marketing, and these experiences have helped me learn what I do and don't like to do for work!
Since I was a freshmen in college, I have worked for NC State Digital Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) as a communications intern. I've gotten the opportunity to write dozens of articles for the DELTA News website and DELTA Connections newsletter. Check out some of my articles on the DELTA News site!
For my first two years at NC State, I got involved with the university's chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA).
Through my role as Director of Creative Content, I got to write blogs for the NC State AMA website and work with team of directors and vice presidents.
In my role as VP of Member Engagement, I got to manage and work with a team of directors to help guide them through their work.
I also got to design and write the organization's mass emails and check in on the email's performance analytics, which gave me great experience in designing networked communications!
